Quantities and Sizes

This first attempt at surveying Grande Prairie's grocery stores underlined the difficulty in selecting items to sample.  The range of brands (e.g. bread) and sizes (e.g. soap) that the different stores carry make comparison's problematic.

For people that buy in smaller quantities (such as singles and seniors), great prices on larger quantities may not be accessible.  But for camp cooks, and people with families who feel like camp cooks, those large quantities are desirable.  

Instead of trying to adjust for prices and quantities, we have just described them--so people can make their own judgments.

Please give us your thoughts.  What can we do better, differently, or stop doing?  If you spot an error in our report please let us know--keeping in mind that a price may have been available when the survey was done and should not be updated to reflect later changes.
